The Board of Directors of Bright Star-Salem Special Utility District has approved a rate increase effective March 1, 2018. The rate increase will be used to fund budget requirements for the upcoming year which include principle and interest on debt service associated with loans for critical surface water treatment plant and pipeline projects. Without these projects, our water system would be required to ration water each summer during extreme drought conditions. It is our goal to make sure you do not experinece low water pressure during peak demands, and support the growth of new customers on our system. We strive to be prepared for future demands and provide the best water quality and guaranteed supply of water possible to our existing customers.
